Weaving baskets using card
Weaving baskets the first time with paper was really hard becasue the paper was too soft and flimsy.
Les - Trying to weave the corners was confusing, but I got there in the end. We were supposed to be making hats using the basket as the beginning but the final stage was too difficult.
Reremoana - Using cardboard was easier than using paper, but it was still tricky making the corners.

We have challenged ourselves. Can we improve our fitness?
Hopefully we will improve if we are not doing our circuit we run around the field when it is not raining and we play a game our favourite game is Oranges and Lemons.
Counties Manukau Rugby Skills Session 1 and 2
Please Stop Raining! Please Stop Raining! Please Stop Raining! Please Stop Raining!
Oranges and Lemons
Each day we start the day with a game for fitness. One group lines up on one side of the square and another perdenicular. When called the group runs straight across the square to the other side avoiding the taggers. We have changed the groups from orange and lemons to Ngaa Tama and Ngaa Kotiro.
If you are tagged then you stand still and try to tag the children running passed.

Taonga Art
We started looking at different symbols and what they represented -
Then we created a large version and tried to make sure all the inside was covered in glue, before sprinkling sand over it.
Finally, we created our own Taonga that would represent who we are and want to be.

Counties Manukau Sports - Bikes on Thursday 2 March
Day Three: Everyone is excited to see what we will learn today.
It was awesome to see these children riding. They should be very proud of themselves.
Going through the cones was tricky, but we all managed to go further and further.
Pedal tapping was easy, but watching and not crashing into others as the square got smaller was tricky, but I was nearly the last one in.
It was tricky changing directions from clockwise to anticlockwise without crashing or stopping.
