Mini Olympics

Mrs AhFook thought we could have a fun day with our two student teachers while Mrs Mundy was away.  We have a range of fun activities to complete practising skills we would need when we go to the local stream to carry out experiments on the water quality.

We had a lot of fun!

Measuring a Square Metre

With Covid19 it is important at Level 3 in class that we know what is a metre. As inside we the class we have to maintain a metre distance, which at times can be tricky when someone needs help or to be shown something on a device.

However when people are from the same bubble they are able to within the metre.

What we figured out is a metre is longer than we think. A metre is not a arm length. Outside is even trickier or at the supermarket because we have to stay 2 metres. This is longer than a shopping trolley.

Where is Waitangi?

WALHT find places in google maps. We did a quiz on Waitangi and found not many people knew where it was.

I learnt how to make my own map with places I added. I found it interesting importing information from sheets. Next time I would like to do a map about places I have been.
