What is a Life Cycle?

We are looking at Living things this term which means we need to understand what a life cycle is.

We worked out it goes around like a wheel or a tyre.

We discussed how we know what comes next and to show this we need an arrow. So people know what the life cycle is about the diagram needs a title and each stage is best with a label so people know what they are seeing.

Teacher Lockdown Mid Point Update

Hello Everyone
I hope you are keeping safe. I can now say I have ventured out, apart from the dog walking and been to the supermarket. I think I was lucky reading some of the story on social media. I was supposed to get to Pak n Save by 8 but slept in ("But Mum, it's the Holidays"). The queue moved quickly and I was inside in 30 minutes, I meet some new people and was able to chat from the 2 metre distance with others. Then inside I managed to get everything I needed including a small bag of flour (better than nothing).

Over the 'holiday' part of lockdown our family has been busy getting to know different board games and card games. So spending lots of time together. We have previously played Euchre but everyone now knows how to play 500, we haven't tried Gin Rummy (where you collect a set of 3 or 4 numbers the same or a run) yet but no doubt we will. My boys have even asked to play Go fish. We have played Monopoly multiple times and everytime I have spent more time in jail than out. I think I need to change the order of how we sit. (He he he) Now Blokus was great I kicked butt, well that was until others started using strategies too. Cluedo was another game we played, I would ask a questions that would give food for thought to the others and then they would get the accusation correct, that happened twice before I won one, now sure if I like being Ms Scarlett, may have to change seat for that one too.

Can you pick the game we are playing...

I even have a recordings of the crazy.

Lockdown Teacher Update

It has been a week since we had to leave school. It is interesting being stuck in our family bubble. Ben and Matthew spent most of last week working on their school work. Ben has an english assignment due during lockdown and Matt has an art project, so they are both working hard. The other day was Ben's birthday. I feel for all children out there who have a birthday during this time. We usually do shopping for things he needs the weekend before so I know he has wants he wants with the right size as he is still growing. The day started with his favourite morning meal of pancakes with jam for Ben and Matt and for me I like maple syrup. We then played Monopoly his favourite board game, I lost again (second time in two days) Their Dad won this game but Ben said he didn't lose (that was because both Matt and I went bankrupt). For dinner we had one of his favourite meals Chicken and Bacon Carbonara. Followed by a movie and popcorn and then another movie (Dragons 2).

In between times I am checking emails and seesaw to see what others have been up to, so if you can Tui whanau do login to Seesaw and keep safe. I have also been walking our dog Bruno and from a distance checking in with neighbours to see they are okay.
